The Bali-Hatchery is situated at Bali's south-east coast at a 45 min drive from Bali's international airport.

The Bali-Hatchery is the largest of a few hatcheries in this area well-known for its excellent quality of sea water and fresh water.

This fish farm is a multi species hatchery. We do marine fish fingerlings and juveniles. Fresh water juveniles and consumption size fish.

The Bali-Hatchery is located along the Indian Ocean. From the beach a view on Nusa Penida, a small island well-known among divers.

The hatchery which is a modern indoor hatchery was built in 2002.

    Hatchery production

We have a lot of experience on grouper: Epinephelus Guscoguttatus etc.

Together with the farmers we produce JUVENILES of the Macrobrachium Rosenbergii or Grand River Shrimp.

Bali Hatchery is famous for the production of Catfish, combined with Pangasius.

Packing in accordance to buyers instruction, is done at the Bali-hatchery.

We arrange shipments and take care to minimalize stress for the fingerlings/juveniles.

We strive for a most compatative price for our products.

Hatchery system   

The Bali-Hatchery cooperates with the university of Bali and research institutes from the Netherlands in order to produce healthy fish the ECOLOGICAL way.

We refrain from using chemicals which are harmful or leave a residue.

Environmental protection. We disinfect our systems with Opcer, a stabilised hydrogen peroxide without any residue.

Depending on the concentration of Opcer, we use this 'natural product' (the human body also produces hydrogen peroxide to attack bacteria) to treat eggs, to treat ill fish and to disinfect fingerlings and fish before shipment.

Hatchery philosophy  

We strongly believe in the ecological way of producing and environmental protection. To achieve this objective we train and assist farmers with whom we work together. We do collect techniques like the recirculation system and implement these. Not strictly necessary to get a production but important for all of us to control our eco-system. We supply our customers with healthy fingerlings/juveniles without any residue or medicine. To feed the fish we use as much as possible local produced products which are generally accepted as clean .

The hatchery has contacts with NGO's that protect the coral by the way ornamental and consumption fish is caught. We have a small facility to stock ornamental fish which is caught under strict controlled conditions ;  an order comes with a certificate of best practice. We follow wwf (wnf) recommendations.
